A proposed constitutional amendment that would ban the freedom to marry will be on the ballot in Minnesota on November 6, 2012. We need to defeat this anti-gay amendment. It's pretty simple: 'The constitution should be used to protect our freedoms, not limit them'.
As a women who identifies as bisexual/pansexual, to me, love and attraction isn't about gender, it's about the person, the personality, and falling in love and being attracted to someone on a more spiritual level, not if they are male or female. Families are all different and it doesn't make them any less of a family just because they are different than 'your' family.
We have older generations (and history) tell us about how people used to be segregated based on their color and/or nationality. There is no difference when it comes to LGBT rights. How strange to think we'll tell the younger generations someday that people used to not give gay people the same rights. This IS a civil rights issue.
Minnesotans from all political backgrounds are standing up for ALL families by working to defeat this amendment.
